Andrija “Andre” Stanojcic maintains a broad commercial practice counseling and representing corporate clients in both transactions and litigation--with a particular focus on the oilfield services industry. Although his practice is chiefly focused on commercial transactions in the oilfield services sector, Andre has significant experience and is continually involved in representing clients in litigation matters and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

In his every day transactional practice, Andre counsels clients on the negotiation, drafting, and interpretation of a wide range of commercial contracts in the oilfield services sector. Andre heads up the Firm's MSA review section and assists clients in managing their daily legal exposure, while allowing the client's in-house counsel to focus on their company's "big picture" strategic issues. Some of the contracts that Andre has assisted his clients in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating include: MSAs, NDAs, equipment lease agreements, licensing agreements, fluid offtake agreements, and purchase and sale agreements. Andre parlays his commercial litigation experience into his transactional practice by advising clients on the negotiation and drafting of clear and concise terms with a view to reducing potential for disputes and minimizing the client's legal exposure.

Andre's litigation practice focuses on assisting his clients in payment and job disputes. Based on the unique circumstances of each client's case, Andre employs a variety of strategies--from breach of contract suits to mineral liens and foreclosures--in order to create as much leverage and ensure the best recovery possible. Andre's experience includes representing medium to large oilfield services companies in high-stakes litigation, arising from oilfield disputes and involving multi-million dollar claims and counterclaims, including claims for invalid liens and defective goods and services leading to loss of lease, damage to reservoirs, and loss of production.

Andre's practice benefits from his family background in the oil and gas industry.  Andre’s father is a long-time veteran of the industry and his family followed him throughout his international career. Prior to settling down in Houston fifteen years ago, Andre's family lived in Eastern Europe and Alberta, Canada. He earned his B.A., cum laude, in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Houston in 2012 and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2016. He is admitted to practice in Texas and in the Federal District Courts for the Southern District of Texas. Andre lives in the Heights with his wife, Anja, and their two children. They attend Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Cypress. In his spare time, Andre likes spending time with his family in the outdoors, biking, hiking, camping, and shooting sporting clays.
